The high mesas of sandstone and shale of the Hopi Nation in Northern Arizona are riddled with nooks and galleries where ancient and modern peoples engraved their presence and their ideas. One of the few 'living' rock art traditions, more is known here about these pre-historic rock-chiseled storylines than is typical. Usually your rock writings are enigmas from the foggy times of centuries or millennia passed without modern people with whom to associate them.
