Mosaic and Mural Art Installations
Beautification projects in Rural Regions.
Working with local schools and towns you will help to advance the Global Mosaic Project.
Colorful and beautiful hand-made and hand-painted mosaics and murals are the goal in this art-oriented service learning project.
Your class or group works with a far-flung community throughout the year to design your installation. Mosaic sections are made as components by each contributor and shipped to the project location. If possible your group then later travels to the site to participate in the final installation.

<Global Mosaic Projects highlight the Power of Art in communities, focusing on the creative process and affirming that community-based art can be a vehicle for social change by empowering participants, transforming environments and contributing to collective healing and economic development.
Founded by public artist, Laurel True, The Global Mosaic Project grew out of True's more than twenty years of experience creating community-based public art, architectural mosaics and a respected teaching practice. The Global Mosaic Project is an ongoing project of True Mosaics Studio.
Public Art and Creative Placemaking
We work directly with communities to create permanent, public artworks that are culturally specific and community-driven, becoming part of the social ecosystem and visual landscape of the communities where they are located
Projects include mosaic murals, sculptural forms, benches and other site-specific work. Projects are created using ceramic tile mosaic, glass, mirror and mixed media. Local materials are sourced and recycled materials are used as much as possible.>
WANDERLAND provides in-country airport-to-airport services; Spanish language support; professional natural history interpretation; certified Wilderness First Responder hosts; travel arrangements for school groups and, of course, Fairly Traded Travel Services.
